I think my favourite piece of dialogue in the final episode of Ted Lasso came from Higgins:

“Human beings are never going to be perfect Roy. The best we can do is to keep asking for help and accepting it when you can and if you keep on doing that you’ll always be moving towards better.”

I quite enjoyed the Ted Lasso finale. S3 wrapped up storylines and was consistent with the growth journey the characters were on. The way they leaned into Rebecca and Ted’s relationship across the episode brought things full circle. Just lovely feel good tv and sometimes that’s all you want. 📺

All caught up on Ted Lasso S3 ready for the final episode. My prediction is Ted resigns as coach to go back home, Coach Beard stays. Ted recommends Nate take his place as head coach. 📺

I spent part of the afternoon chasing five year old twins around a playground so decided a gelato cone was in order as a little reward.

Plenty of options to choose from. I went with “Vaniglia Honeycomb” (not a typo). It’s vanilla, local honey and choc honeycomb.

A wall listing gelato and sorbet flavours. The top of the wall is black with “Menu” in the centre and under that “Classic”, “Special” and “Sorbet”. All in red letters. Under that is three horizontal rows of nine clipboards with flavours listed on each on various colours of paper. A red milkshake maker and a stack of cones are on the bench below.

🚶 Afternoon walk. Which may involve a stop for gelato.

🫖 Chores and grocery shopping done. Time for a pot of tea. The Scottish Breakfast blend from Harrogate of London I think.

I have arrived at friends for dinner and have been greeted by one singing along to Divine You think You’re a Man and the other yelling out “I’m in the kitchen getting my sausage sorted”. I think the open wine bottle on the bench may not be the first.

Should be an entertaining night!
