My personal mail was constantly bombarded with newsletters, morning/daily news summaries and emails from companies to the point that every time I opened it I was just deleting without reading.
I unsubscribed from a lot of things over the weekend and my inbox was wonderfully quiet this morning.
One cork missing but the sign of a great lunch. Nearly four hours at one of my favourite Italian restaurants. 🍷

Star Trek: SNW Subspace Rhapsody was a great bit of fun! The mix of serious and silly this show continues to deliver is one of its strengths. The emotional turmoil of Spock and La’an really shone through and was so consistent with their story arcs. As was the lighter side of Number One. 📺🖖🏻
I told myself I probably shouldn’t visit the pen shop on the way home as I really don’t need any more pens just at the moment.
A little look won’t hurt I thought as I strolled by.
Then I saw this red Visconti Rembrandt roller ball and well now I have a new pen. 🖋️
Told myself I shouldn’t visit Pulp Fiction bookstore on the way home because my “to be read” pile was getting out of control. I did not listen to my own advice. 📚
A work meeting this morning then rest of the day off. Headed to a long lunch then avoiding the bookstore and pen shop on the way back home. Dangerous places to visit after a cocktail or two.
🤤 Present Peter is very happy with Past Peter’s decision to put a nice bit of rump steak in a pepper marinade 24hrs ago.
This article conveniently ignores Loki and Wandavision when it asserts “none of the shows that preceded Secret Invasion were particularly great” and references Moon Knight, Ms Marvel and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law as evidence that “Marvel fatigue was real long before Secret Invasion came along”. 📺
