Just watched the first three episodes of the new season of Westworld. I see that they’ve stayed with the approach of multiple confusing sub plots, cryptic statements by characters, nothing is simple, blood, gore and death, so much death. All set to the usual great music. 📺
I really enjoyed the final episode of Strange New Worlds and the man out of time plot device. The whole season has had everything you could want from Star Trek. As a tv show it nailed the casting, scripts, directing, cinematography, effects. I’m undecided about the introduction of Kirk though. Was it really needed. Do we need to see James T Kirk, particularly when the character is so closely associated with Shatner? 🖖🏻📺
I subscribe to Choice here in Australia as I value their reviews of consumer products. When looking at a new purchase I will start there first and see what’s recommended then do some comparisons with other online review sites. Sometimes, instead of the product I intended to research, I get sidetracked with other product reviews and today I’ve started a wildly exciting Saturday morning checking reviews on laundry detergents and other cleaning products. 🤷🏻♂️
It’s been 18 weeks since the Brisbane floods filled the basement carpark in my apartment building and the lift was damaged.
The email has just arrived to say the lift is finally working again and I no longer need to go up/down 97 steps in the fire stairwell to get to my apartment on the fifth floor.
This is probably the second most exciting thing to happen so far this year.
The most exciting is that the bin chute is also back and I no longer have to carry my rubbish bag down 97 steps!
The cat giving me her please don’t follow me around singing face moments before going to hide in the bedroom. 🐈
The best part of it being July is that I can start saying “I go on holidays at the end of the month”.
I find it important for my mental health to always have a break planned. The length, a few days or a few weeks, doesn’t matter. As long as it’s there to look forward to.
In the Brisbane floods at the end of February, the basement carpark filled with water and the lift was damaged. It’s been four months of up and down the fire stairs, 97 steps from ground to my apartment on the fifth floor. The lift was to be back yesterday but it didn’t happen 😭
My micro.blog stickers arrived!! Thank you @jean 🤩
One of those days where I’ve decided that I’m making pizza for dinner because I can, and it will have both pineapple and many anchovies. It might be a deeply divisive statement to make but sometimes you just need to stand up for what you believe in. 🍕
